NuPoint Messenger Voicemail System - Update / Setup Instructions


This guide should only be used if your name has changed, you are new to a room, or you are new to Saratoga. By following these instructions, you will be changing your voicemail PIN, name, and greeting. If you wish to change your greeting, PIN, or name, dial 8 once in your voicemail and listen to the prompts.


Estimated time: 5-6 minutes,  best done in a quiet room


1.  Press “VM” on your classroom 5302 IP Phone or dial “5555” in order to dial into the voicemail server. You will be connected to a voicemail extension.


2.  The attendant will greet you and ask you for your passcode. This may not be your name and may be the previous teacher’s name in that room.


3. By now, your voicemail PIN should have been defaulted to “1111”. Enter 1111 as your passcode. If this does not work, contact Tyler DeMoraes using the below information or enter a ticket by e-mailing techrequest@sd60c.org.


4. You will be prompted of the amount of new / unread messages in your mailbox. If in a new room, these may be destined for the previous owner.


5. Press “8” to enter the user options menu. The attendant will begin to list prompts to choose from. You want to activate the tutorial if it has not already been activated.


6. Press “8” to activate the voicemail tutorial. The attendant will walk you through setting up your voicemail and changing your PIN number, voicemail greeting, and name.
