How to Cast

Step 1:  Connect to 60c-Secure. If you are not connected, sign into 60c-secure with your username and password.  Click here for step by step directions on how to connect.

Example:

Username: tdemoraes

Password:  Password used to log onto your computer.

If this does not work, give Tyler a call at x1720 or email at tdemoraes@sd60c.org

Step 2:  Open up Chrome on your computer and look for the three dots up in the corner.

Step 3: There are two types of casting.  Cast tab is default, Cast Desktop can be chosen.  Follow the images below to choose between the two.

Cast Tab: This will cast the current tab you in are in.  This is great for keeping one tab on the screen and being able to look at other tabs on your computer.  A blue box will be shown over the tab in which you are casting.

Cast desktop:  This option will allow you to cast your entire desktop.  This is great for when you need to show something outside of chrome i.e. a spreadsheet.

Step 4:  Choose the TV in which you are going to cast to.  If the TV is not in use, simply clicking on the option will allow you to start casting to the TV.

If the TV is in use and you would like to take control of said TV, select the TV and then select Cast.  NOTE: This will kick the current user out, and display what you are casting.

NOTE:  If you have chosen the CAST DESKTOP option, you have to click share after choosing the desired TV.

How to Stop Casting

Step 1:  Open Chrome, if it is not already open.

Step 2: Click the 3 dots and choose Cast.   You should see the TV you are currently casting to, choose to stop casting.  If you do not see the TV you are connected to, simply choose the TV and click STOP.
